Case study: Pop-ad networks + Push subscription offers (still working)

I had start with this offer because it has easiest flow – user should just click “allow”. So optimization in pop-ad networks goes down to making black and white lists + find out best landing page. It means that 100-300 click per source is enough to make decisions.

Push-subscribtions affiliate networks

After BadBoys closed I had switched my traffic to 3 different push-ads affiliate networks:
1) Evadav (Revenue-share and CPA)
2) Offergate (Revenue-share and CPA)
3) RealPush (Revenue-share only)

Evadav and Offergate are best for me (highest RPM (revenue per mille visitors)). I’ve stoped work with realpush a mounth ago, because profit dicreased in 3 times.

There are many other affiliate networks, but these work for me.

Pop-ad networks

For me it was most important offer for 6 months so I had tested with minimum deposit 50+ pop-ad networks. Most of them with crazy low return of investment. For the first tests I had used CPL model to calculate future profit. After that I had used my own data by countries, devices, browsers and traffic loses (RPM for different slices). This data (from BadBoys – my first 2 months of work with it) you could find below.

This data is really good, because I didn’t send traffic from november 2018, so it approximately LTV. You could download them from Google.Drive.

For now I still buying traffic from 7 networks:

If you would register in push subscribtions affiliate networks as my referral, I would send you my black lists. That I was used before switching to white-lists. To get them – leave a comment below “Need black lists” with e-mail that you use in affiliate networks and I would send black lists to this e-mail.

In my opinion easiest pop-ad network to start is visitweb. Price for traffic starts from 0,5$ per 1 thousand visitors. Minimum deposit – 100 rubles ~ $1,5. Minimum traffic limit for campaign 1 thousand visitors, so you could create black lists with minimum buget and start collecting data.

For adult traffic I use this dating affiliate networks (smartlinks from them):

  1. LosPollos – I started working with them in 2016 – but registering is not so easy there. In addition, you must leave your own domain – because they are blocked 2-3 times a month (some of their partners use very aggressive methods, so …)
  2. iMonetizeIt
  3. CPAMatica
  4. ProfitSocial

I use them one after another in my tracker, like this. If you haven’t tracker just use one of them.

P.S.

So if you want to create your own campaigns to collect push subscriptions you shoukd ceep in mind:

  1. CR on mobile devices always better than on PC.
  2. CR on Google Chrome always better than on other browsers.
  3. ROI with revenue-share always higher than on CPA.
  4. If you start buying traffic in revenue-share model you should do it at list for 2-4 weeks to achive 0 cash-flow (your profit will be higher than you spends on traffic).
  5. Don’t forget to use your own traffic back it gives you 10-20% extra profit.

    By the way, what do you think about popads.net, and richpush, does they only have junk traffic?

    And could you make a video / content about promoting the offers through CPA networks, Kind of arbitrage, like just paying per lead as I got paid from the advertiser’s side.

      I have bad expirience with Popads.net. I try them twice – once in august 2016 with 2-click flow mobile content offer for Brazil, and also I tryed them on push subscribtion offers. For me this network didn’t work.

      In first case (with Brazilian mobile content) maybe I spend not enough money to create black lists. But CR was very unstable for this source. I one day it could be up to 2% in other less than 0,3%.

      When I try buy traffic for push subscribtions with my strategy (with estimated ROI 200-300%) I have not enough quality traffic sources to work with them. For me it was as simple as – when I add all sources with CR less than 3% to black list would I have more than 100 push-subs per day? If answer no – I stop work with ad network.

        2. No problem. Try to sign up at push subscription affiliate network, for ex. https://am-newbie.site/go/evadav/ than create stream, widgjet, choose pop-up and go to your link. Download their landing page – and you’re good to go. But you should check downloaded landing page for any not neccessary java scripts, that could be used to still your traffic.

    1. Push subscription is notification from website, that appears in bottom right corner for PC and in notification bar on Android devices. Most of push subs are made via google chrome. You can find more info at MegapuSh or Evadav

    1) Which countries did you get the most subscriptions from? I have tested multiple landing pages from evadav and find low conversions when targeting Tier-1 countries (high CPA even though I’m using CPM)..When I target smaller Tier-3 countries I get a lot of subscriptions but low payout.

    2) Do you target specific countries based on payout or those that cost the least for popups/popunders?

      Most profit or subs? Most of my push subs from India. Most profitable T2 countries, like Czech Republic.

      In the beginning I was using CPA rates to calculate estimated profit with RS. Than I used my data with profit per push sub from each geo. I bid as much as it make sense with targeted ROI.

It seems like this could happen once you’re in the six-figure range of subscribers. I have found from popups almost 10% unsubscribe rate daily. Also, around 8-10,000 subscribers to make $1 CPM per day. Seems like you will need at least close to one million subscribers to reach $100/day via CPM. But with high unsubscribe rate will need to continue getting lots of new ones per day to stay even. How many new subscribers do you get per day? And how many unsubscribes?

      Yes. Actually in Jan 2019 I used 8 ad networks and now I’m using only 2 most profitable. Because overall profit dropped down.

      I have changed 3 push subs networks, so it’s hard to say. My maximum amount of subs was 4.5k.

      For me it’s hard to calculate right now, because I have a lot of old push subs.
